I’m New

Do you have questions about what to expect at our church? We’ve got answers for you!

  • Dress as you feel comfortable! Most people in the congregation dress casually.

  • We are happy to provide everyone with bulletins that will help you follow along with the liturgy. The bulletin will direct you to sit, stand or kneel when appropriate. Lyrics to songs are either printed in the bulletin or found in the hymnal in the pew. The bulletin will have the hymn number for reference.

  • Communion, or the Holy Eucharist, is the central ritual of our worship services. We consume consecrated bread and wine, which is the outward sign of our communion with God. By participating in this sacrament, we believe that we are experiencing union with God.

    All Sunday services include Communion.

We believe Jesus made no exceptions for who was welcome at his table, and so we place no restrictions on who is welcome to participate in this ancient and sacred ritual.

If you don’t feel comfortable with receiving Communion, that’s okay! You are welcome to cross your arms and receive a blessing instead, or you may remain in your pew.

  • Absolutely! We have gluten-free wafers available for Communion. We also don’t require you to drink the wine, so you can skip that step if you need.

  • After the service we enjoy fellowship and light refreshments in our fellowship hall. We invite you to stay and use this time to learn more about our community and our activities!

  • During the school year, September through May, we offer Godly Play Sunday School for children aged 3 - 12.

We also have children’s activity bags and children’s books available for our littlest parishioners to use during worship throughout the year.

If you need it, we also have a Children’s Room adjacent to the main sanctuary.

  • We have rotating education opportunities throughout the year in which all are welcome to participate. Examples of past education opportunities include Bible studies, Science and Spirituality lecture series, activism opportunities, and faith-inspired documentary viewings.
