The Rev. Katie Emery
Pastor-In-Charge
Pastor Katie Emery joins us as an ecumenical partner from the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). She first felt the call to rostered ministry as a 14-year-old in Wisconsin and has embraced opportunities to accompany people in their faith lives around the world ever since. She spent four of her summers during college serving at a Lutheran camp in central Wisconsin and entered seminary the fall after receiving her BA in Religious Studies and History from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. She graduated from Luther Seminary with her Masters in Divinity in 2012 and since then has spent time serving in South Africa, Cameroon, Eastern Montana, and along the Front Range in Colorado. In addition to serving in the Episcopal Church, Pastor Katie has also been a pastor in both the ELCA and the Presbyterian Church-USA (PCUSA). Ecumenical ministry is one of her passions!
Central to her ministry is the belief that God loves all people. So the work that St. Ambrose continues to do to publicly be a place of radical welcome and inclusivity to the most vulnerable, especially the LGBTQIA+ and Indigenous communities is extremely exciting as we do ministry together.
She lives with her husband, Will, her daughter, Aurelia, and her dog, Loki.
