The Rev. Lyn Burns
our Interim rector
It is a great honor for me to serve you during your time of transition. In my experience, transitions, challenging as they are because of the unfamiliarity of the territory and the general sense of uncertainty, are also times of insight, renewal, and growth. Unmoored from aspects of what “has been,” to what “can be” is as exciting as it is scary. I look forward to accompanying you on this journey of exploration and discovery of Christ in our midst.
There will be time to share with you more about my background. I look forward to hearing about yours. Suffice to say for now that I was born in South Africa, immigrated to the United States in 1982, and settled in Boulder, where I lived for about 26 years, and where my two children, Jessica and Stephen, were born. After many years in marketing for a foreign language translation company, I moved into the non-profit world, where my main focus was working with older adults and people with disabilities. After graduating from seminary, and before starting parish ministry, I spent a year at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN as a resident chaplain – a most extraordinary experience. I have since served three other parishes in Colorado. I am most grateful for all they have taught me. I feel blessed to know that you are welcoming me into your community that we may live and learn and grow together in the love of God in Christ, and under the guidance and protection of God’s most Holy Spirit.

our Parish Administrator
Kristy is a member of the 10:30 choir and provides piano music at that service. When not in the office or at the piano, Kristy enjoys walking with her dog, hiking, snowshoeing, riding her bike and reading. Kristy and her husband, Dan, live in Lafayette and have two daughters, Nicole and Torie who both "grew up" in the St. Ambrose parish community.
Jill Jenkins is happy to be on board as the bookkeeper for St. Ambrose. Her duties include making the weekly deposits, paying the bills and keeping track of our most valued pledges. Her full-time job as a wife to Kirk & mother to Reece and Erin keeps her busy too. When she is not working she enjoys staying in shape with regular exercise and the occasional triathlon.
