We invite you to come worship with us and to consider becoming part of our faith community. We realize that people may be looking for different things in a church - the opportunity to grow in faith, a place to join others in worship and service, a place to make new friends, a place for rest and renewal. We welcome all, wherever you might be on your journey of faith.
The Episcopal Church offers a “via media” - or middle way - between the Roman Catholic and Protestant traditions within Christianity. We emphasize both word and sacrament. What unites us is our faith in Christ; we seek to faithfully follow Jesus. We celebrate the sacrament of Holy Communion each Sunday. We pray together, support each other, and understand that - by the power of the Holy Spirit - we are sent out to proclaim the good news of Christ and serve others in Jesus’ name.
There are many opportunities at St. Ambrose for fellowship, learning, serving, and growing in faith. We eat together. We have fun together. We give thanks for all the ways that God blesses us and guides us. Come, see for yourself!
In the non-summer months (September through May), we offer two worship services:
In our earlier 8:00 am service, we have more traditional music, like hymns. In our 10:30 am service, we have more contemporary worship music, and we offer our children’s programs, such as nursery, Godly Play and programs for older kids.
In the summer months (June, July, and August), we offer one combined service:
This combined service is great for our church community, as it gives us a chance to visit and reunite with those who typically attend the “other service.” We offer nursery and a Summer Fun program for the older kids.
Sunday Morning education
In the non-summer months (September through May), we offer Christian education, discussion groups, and book clubs between our 8:00 am and 10:30 am services.
The content varies over time, and is a great chance for us to come together and learn or discover new aspects of our faith, in a more educational and discussion-oriented atmosphere.
For Easter and Christmas, we typically offer additional services. Check the current events & announcements for more details closer to the actual holidays.
After the last service on Sunday, we come together as a church community for an amazing coffee hour, provided by many different and generous volunteers from within our congregation. In the summer months, we hold our coffee hour on our beautiful back patio, which has been a lot of fun. The coffee hour is our chance to bond as a community.
